Our Story

CSI was founded in 2021 by Don Bartusiak, the former Chief Automation Engineer at ExxonMobil and for 7 years the co-chair of the Open Process Automation Forum (OPAF). 

Together with other industry leading executives and a group of partners, CSI cofounded the Coalition for Open Process Automation (COPA) who are leading the industry in the design and implementation of Open Process Automation Systems.  Working with customers, we deliver optimal platform and applications solutions with significantly greater business value potential and lower total cost of ownership than currently available systems.

The CSI principals each have 35+ years of experience in the process control and IT industries. 

CSI has two lines of business:

  • Technology, expert consulting services and training for the design and integration of O-PAS industrial control systems

  • Process control software  products and application services
