CSI and Toggle Engineering announce exclusive European OPA platform partnership

The five-year preferred-provider agreement positions CSI as Toggle Engineering’s named Open Process Automation infrastructure partner across Europe, backed by the OPA LaunchPad and a minimum five-year post-delivery support commitment.

September 18, 2026 Austin, Texas Brussels, Belgium

Collaborative Systems Integration (CSI), a vendor-neutral Open Process Automation consultancy and co-founding member of the Coalition for Open Process Automation (COPA), has entered a five-year exclusive platform partnership with Toggle Engineering, an engineering services firm serving the European process industries.

Under the agreement, CSI will serve as Toggle’s preferred OPA platform provider for European client engagements, while Toggle will serve as a primary channel for Open Process Automation adoption across its European client base.

The partnership formalizes a shared commercial objective: to make Open Process Automation commercially accessible to operating companies that have historically been constrained by the cost, complexity and vendor dependency of legacy distributed control system architectures.

The agreement establishes CSI as Toggle’s named OPA infrastructure partner for client engagements involving Open Process Automation platform capabilities. Toggle retains full freedom over hardware selection, instrument engineering and applications engineering, reflecting the vendor-neutral architectural principles at the center of OPA.

A cornerstone of the partnership is the OPA LaunchPad, CSI’s proof-of-capability platform developed to accelerate client adoption conversations. Toggle will use the OPA LaunchPad as an entry point for client engagements, backed by CSI’s platform expertise, portable IEC 61131 process-control library and structured support model.

Partnership Structure

Three commercial commitments

The agreement connects Toggle’s European project delivery capability with CSI’s Open Process Automation platform, architecture and lifecycle expertise.

01

Preferred provider status

CSI is designated Toggle’s preferred OPA platform provider for client engagements requiring Open Process Automation platform capabilities. Toggle retains independence in hardware selection and instrument and applications engineering.

02

Joint go-to-market

The companies will co-brand client-facing materials and position jointly as CSI | Toggle Engineering, giving European end users and EPC teams an integrated point of engagement for OPA adoption.

03

Long-term operational commitment

CSI commits to a minimum of five years of post-delivery platform support for each project delivered under the partnership, addressing the operational continuity requirements of process-industry owner-operators.

“The OPA movement is past proof-of-concept. What it needs now is a delivery model that operating companies can engage — one where they have a trusted engineering partner standing in front of the technology, not behind it. Toggle brings exactly that. This partnership is how we turn a compelling architecture into deployed projects.”

Trevor Cusworth, VP Sales & Marketing, Collaborative Systems Integration

“Our work starts in the FEED phase of greenfield and brownfield projects. Over the last 20 years, we’ve seen how the choice of control architecture constrains an operator for the next 20 to 30 years. Open Process Automation removes that constraint. Our goal is to help EPCs and end users adopt it with confidence. OPA is emerging, and partnering with a team whose founders helped define the standard is decisive for us.”
