Effective date: [INSERT DATE]

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of csi-automation.com (the "Site"), operated by Collaborative Systems Integration ("CSI," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

The Site is intended for business and professional use. These Terms govern use of the Site only and do not govern any separate consulting, assessment, or implementation services CSI may provide, which are addressed in separate written agreements.

1. Use of the Site

You may use the Site only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected systems or networks
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or impose an unreasonable load on the Site or its infrastructure
  • Use any automated means to scrape, harvest, or collect content or information from the Site except as permitted by our robots.txt and applicable law
  • Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code, or attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or submit false or misleading information through any form

2. Intellectual Property

The Site and its contents — including text, graphics, logos, reports, articles, the State of OPA report, the OPA Knowledge Hub, glossary, calculators, and other materials — are owned by CSI or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may view, download, and print content from the Site for your own internal business and informational use, provided you do not remove any proprietary notices. You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from Site content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

"CSI," the CSI logo, and related names and marks are trademarks of CSI. References to Open Process Automation, O-PAS, The Open Group, and other third-party names are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.

3. Standards and Licensing References

CSI operates under a commercial license from The Open Group. References on the Site to O-PAS, the Open Process Automation Standard, and related materials are descriptive of CSI's work and expertise. Nothing on the Site grants you any license or right in those standards or in The Open Group's intellectual property.

4. Submissions and Inquiries

When you submit information through a contact form, report request, or other form, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to provide it. Information you submit is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you voluntarily provide to CSI may be used by us without restriction or obligation to you. Do not submit confidential or proprietary information through the Site's forms; communications through the Site are not a substitute for a signed confidentiality or services agreement.

5. Informational Content and No Professional Advice

Content on the Site, including blog posts, reports, the ROI calculator, and other resources, is provided for general informational purposes only. It reflects CSI's views and experience and does not constitute engineering, legal, financial, or other professional advice for your specific situation.

Tools such as the ROI calculator produce estimates based on the inputs and assumptions you provide. Actual results depend on facts specific to your facilities and projects. You should not rely on Site content as the sole basis for any business or technical decision, and you should obtain professional advice tailored to your circumstances.

6. Third-Party Links and Resources

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and resources, including opacommunity.com. We provide these links for convenience and do not endorse or take responsibility for the content, products, or practices of any third-party site. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CSI disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any content is accurate, complete, or current.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CSI and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CSI's total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CSI and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

10. Changes to the Site and Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Site at any time without notice. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or related to the Site or these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

[CONFIRM: If CSI prefers mandatory arbitration or a different venue, replace this section with the agreed dispute-resolution language before publishing.]

12. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CSI regarding your use of the Site. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
