CSI and COPA A co-founding member helping make Open Process Automation deployable
CSI is a co-founding member of the Coalition for Open Process Automation (COPA), an industry coalition bringing end users, system integrators and technology providers together around deployment of open, interoperable process automation.
The relationship in one paragraph
The Open Group Open Process Automation Forum governs the O-PAS Standard. COPA does not replace that standards body. COPA is a separate industry coalition focused on connecting standards context with suppliers, integrators, deployable platforms and field experience. CSI participates in both the standards ecosystem and the commercial deployment ecosystem, and is a co-founding member of COPA.

A coalition focused on deployment
COPA brings together organizations that operate plants, integrate automation systems and provide technology. Its role is ecosystem coordination and deployment context around Open Process Automation and O-PAS—not creation or governance of the O-PAS Standard.
Integrated delivery
Integrators turn multi-vendor components, applications and interfaces into a controlled project architecture and accepted operating system.
Deployable components
Technology providers supply the hardware, software and supporting capabilities used in open automation architectures.
COPA and O-PAS are not interchangeable terms
O-PAS is a standard governed through The Open Group Open Process Automation Forum. COPA is an industry coalition aligned around adoption and deployment of Open Process Automation.

A commercial platform within the broader OPA ecosystem
COPA also supports deployable control platforms, including COPA 500. The platform combines technology from multiple ecosystem participants and is positioned for Open Process Automation deployments. Product and project claims should still be evaluated against exact product evidence, project requirements, integration evidence and acceptance criteria.
